When new Distributors first join us, they usually have no concept of how our business works. Our business is similar to a health club.

In January of every year people say to themselves, "I'm weary of being sick and tired. I'm going to be a new me." For a month and a half, you can't discover a machine without someone on it at the health club. But by March you could capture a cannon ball through the health club and not hit anyone. Why? Because it's voluntary.

If their boss pushed them to be fit as a condition of employment, their health club participation would probably last longer, yet at XYNGULAR we can't do that. It's voluntary. We're in the volunteer business.

Could you resurrect the dead?

There are some things you can change, and some things you can't. If I want to grow, we've got to get out, recruit, and then grow. Recruiting isn't optional, just like talking to people isn't optional. In each of your businesses there are numbers you can't modify. People are going to do what they're going to do. You can't just take a flight into a wall harder and expect to succeed. Throwing alarm clocks into the cemetery won't significantly raise the dead.

Leaders ask us all the time, "Can we send them a letter and get them to make a move?" The answer is usually no. When they are done, they're done. You've got to focus on things you can control. You should step back and understand your numbers. You focus your time, money, as well as everything on those things that will move your business forward.

Many people don't make this happen. They spend all their time trying to change things they can't change.

In our business it's all about how you take care of people and make them feel. It's about creating an environment of success where new Distributors could trust and believe in Xyngular.

Tell them the truth about their potential

You can't easily afford to tell someone, "it's easy." It's hard to make a million a year for this or any business. We make it a lot easier here because we're a team. But never get up and then say it's simple. It's hard. If it's easy, it's sleazy. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. It's not able to happen for anyone if they think it's about to be easy. It's hard to win big.

A lot of people won't adjust their way of life enough to establish the daily habits and disciplines that make it happen. But the right people will win. We appeal to a bunch of joiners in order to identify leaders. We attract joiners, but we build winners. Winners want to know it's hard. They don't want to be conned or hyped.

They must fully understand one thing...recruiting is not an option. Talking about the business and the items is not an option. It's fundamental. And it needs to be exciting. It needs to be a team sport.
